Tungsten - Tungsten

An unusual metal, known for its extremely high melting point of 3.422 C. The original German name Wolfram means wolf fur as tungsten seemed to have wolf-like properties.
Tungsten's hardness and high density make it perfect for military purposes & space industry but also for jewelery to be worn every day.
Rings are manufactured under the international name Tungsten Carbide or Wolframkarbid as it is called in Sweden.

Fint och Billigt are specialized in Tungsten rings and have been working with them since 2013.

What should be engraved in the ring?

The question is not only what to engrave in the ring, but also on the outside of the ring!
At Fint og Billigt we love personal design and help you make a unique engraving on the outside of the ring, i.e. an external engraving.
Design your ring and engrave a statement, name or symbol.
It is also popular to engrave monograms or similar on the outside.

What you engrave is highly personal and something you like. It may be something internal that only you understand and can interpret. The inside of a ring is usually not something that outsiders have access to.

At Fint og Billigt we specialize in unique engravings and offer everything from photo engraving to a signature or your own image.
Design your own ring with an exterior engraving such as Louie Marti & Magdalena Graaf.
Make your ring unique with an engraving that everyone can see.

You can think about whether you want the ring to become a family heirloom that follows for generations. In that case, you can settle for a smaller engraving inside and thus leave room for children and grandchildren to make their own engravings.

Fint och Billigt offers engraving at the market's lowest price and fastest delivery.
Order your ring with engraving to be sent the same day.

What does Tungsten contain?

TUNGSTEN / TUNGSTEN

Our rings are made from a mixture of Tungsten and Carbon. To bind these materials and give the ring its special properties, we use a small amount of Nickel. The material binds extremely hard and therefore the nickel emission in our rings is below the EU limit and is considered nickel safe.

Where does the name Tungsten come from?

The name Tungsten comes from the Swedish chemist Carl Wilhelm Scheele, who demonstrated the previously unknown "tungstic acid". The name tungsten for the mineral comes from its high density and was used during the middle of the 18th century for several different heavy minerals, whose connection was not understood at the time.
We have chosen to continue using the name "Tungsten" as we think it suits us better. The Swedish name is actually "Tungsten carbide".
